This past month my why has been reinforced - everywhere. The universe has been guiding me to become more clear on what it is that gets me out of bed, what it is that I have come to this planet to do. Where I can be of service.

It's been interesting witnessing the subtle whispers, the lessons, the undertones. All the little to big things that have been reinforcing what it is I came here to do, what it is I knew deep down inside all along.

My why.

My not so subtle whisper grounding me into my why - Hurricane Irma.

My family has a house in the British Virgin Islands, a beautiful breathtaking villa nestled into the island side just a few minutes walk down to the beautiful beach. My dad fulfilled one of his dreams when he purchased the house, he lived in the house + after his death we kept the house. Many of my memories of my dad are in the house, his ashes are in the ocean outside of the house, it's not just a house - it's a structure of memories, of stories, of a time when my dad still lived on this planet.

The British Virgin Islands were taken out by Hurricane Irma. Still at this time we don't know the state of the house, we don't know if it's okay but the local businesses, the local people, the places we visited, the memories - are not okay. And so I wrestled with myself getting upset about a house being destroyed, but it's so much more than a house. It's a vessel that keeps his memory alive, it's an anchor, it's a reminder of the life he lived.

And so - I cried. I wept. I ugly face bawled my eyes out + then I took all the emotions I was feeling, all the energy + asked myself how I could turn this into empowered action.

How could I take this to serve the world.

And the answer?

Share my voice stronger, reach more people, guide more people to do their inner healing. Continue healing myself because when we heal our inner world, we heal our outer world. We heal our precious earth. We make better choices, we are more connected, we contribute to raising the vibration of the planet.

My why.

'May we together heal our inner worlds so that our outer one - our magnificent planet Earth - can continue to be the place we call home.' - Rebecca Campbell.

And then last week I went to a Coldplay concert.

I can't say I've ever been to a concert that I left feeling inspired to keep healing my inner world, to keep doing my work so I could guide others to do the same. Moved sure - but never inspired to kick some more inner demons.

But this one - I left feeling on top of the world. Throughout the whole show there were underlying messages of kindness, gratitude, love, spirituality - they quoted Rumi. Rumi.

'This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all. Even if they are a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of it's furniture, still treat each guest honourably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.' Rumi.

Through the video accompanying the songs there were images of healing the planet, healing ourselves. Being kind to one another. Joining together. That we can do this. That it is up to each + everyone of us, that when we do our work - we heal our planet.

My why. What I came here to do.

My messages, my guides - all around me. Always all around me.

And always all around you.

It made me question when it was I knew my why, when it was I stepped into my truth + it made me recognize how many of my clients, my students are searching for theirs. For their meaning, their purpose. The reason that they get out of bed every morning. Their why. My advice - if you're looking for yours, don't stop. Keep looking, the messages, the subtle whispers, the guidance. It's all there, we've just forgotten how to listen. Do the work, peel back the layers + find your why. It wasn't that long ago that I was searching for mine, for my meaning, my fulfilment - my why + I thank the universe every single day that I found it.

We are all teachers + students in this magical experience we call life + the universe is our greatest one.
